welcome to the Make The Cut (MTC) software support forum. Since you just joined the forum and are working with a newer Silhouette cutter I am going to assume that you are trying to use Silhouette’s program rather than MTC. If that is the case, you will need to find a group that supports that cutter with their software. Unfortunately, they do not provide an official support forum. If you do Facebook, you can search for Silhouette groups on Facebook there are several user groups there where you might find so,e help with their software.

This is not a Silhouette or Cameo support forum. It is for a 3rd party software program called Make the Cut that has been abandoned for several years now. As a result, there is little traffic here anymore and most people come occasionally but often ignore the questions that don't relate to MTC. Liz was trying to help you even if it was not the answer you wanted. The information provided was what was true in the past. They may have from time to time deregistered the machine from one user and registered to a new user. That is not the norm. If you needed a refund or help with deregistering the machine then the simple answer is what you did - contact the company support for the machine and software in question. No one but they can help you with your issue(s). Pretty simple and you have done that so now you must wait and see if they reply and give you the outcome you desire. Hopefully they do.

Cricut shut down the design studio website for older cricuts. There is no third party software that cuts to cricut expression 2 that I am aware of. Sorry for the bad news but Cricut has made those machines obsolete.

@PatsyB - not a lot of Cricut users here as this is a forum for the Make The Cut! software which does not work with Cricut. You might go looking for Cricut Facebook pages, lots of them there.

Also, if your cuts look like the dog chewed them, then you have too much blade exposed. For thin materials, it's insane just little of the blade tip should stick out... if you can see it, then you probably have too much showing. The Skycut V and D models have 2000g of cutting force and are production quality cutters... able to cut "all day long". They work with a host of different software programs and can connect via USB, Wi-Fi, direct wireless, and use PLT files on a USB flash drive. They can easily cut 2" x 6" shapes from your magnet material... again, "all day long."

Look at the Skycut models. I've test cut magnetic sheets that thick. The V and D models do a better job because they're high force cutters but the C would work for hobby applications. Re: MaxxAir lost dongle
There are two types of dongles that work with a Maxx Air. Fortunately, since you're posting here, I assume you're referring to the Bluetooth dongle that allows you to cut wirelessly from your computer to your Maxx Air? If so, then that's a generic type device that simply adds Bluetooth capability to your computer. I'll find one on Amazon that's the same and post a link here.
