Make The Cut Software iMac

MTC software has recently (today) malfunctioned. I can set origin, first ref point, second ref point yet If I attempt to tweek and set the third ref point the Zing/software lurches inches forward far out of position. Once that happens I cannot adjust using the arrows to get back to and set the third ref point. This happened repeatedly even after quitting/relaunching the MTC app, turning off/on the Zing and restarting the iMac. Current os is Sierra 10.12.6

@iQv7ul0Lbn9k0_z37 - sorry I never have used MTC on a Mac. I am going to suggest that you check to make sure that you are not mixing up Landscape and Portrait (its one on the screen and its another on cutter with the way you have positioned the mat, or that you have a stray node way off the mat.
Still using MTC but slowly migrating to SCAL. KNK cutters including the Force and Maxx Air continue to be my favourites. Fluent in other cutter languages.

That sounds like the bug that was never fixed in Zing PNC's. The solution is to NOT use the up/down arrows when setting the initial origin for the cut. You can still use the  left/right arrow keys but if you need the mat further forward or further back, lift the pinch wheels and slide it into place.  I actually think it was only the UP arrow, but I can't recall for sure, so just manually do it.  Then report back if that fixes the issue.

Also, do NOT update your Mac or you will probably lose MTC capability. You'll have to switch to SCAL5 for software.

My imac is too old to upgrade beyond 10.12.6 sierra, thats why this glitch came as a surprise, its never happened before. I'm going to look at the SCAL5 manual pdf before anything. From teh start when I installed MTC its been unstable and I use MTC only to run the KNK Zing to cut shapes from card and paper stock.

I don't recall documenting it in the manual because I expected the developer of MTC to fix the bug.  But I don't believe it ever was.   Anyhow, in the back of mind yesterday, I was thinking I might have made a video at some point about this issue. Sure enough... found it:

I understand what she is doing but I'll have to watch the video a few more times. For the sake of getting a congrats card finished I will eventually try this method but everything will depend on if the F2 key on my imac keyboard functions the same as on this video to turn on the laser.
